The Siren Sisters believe that hearing, not to mention watching, other people sing
ought to be a pleasure and not a duty. They also know from experience that most
things go better if you have a glass of wine in front of you.
Since being formed in March 2007, the Ashton Keynes (North Wiltshire) based group
has gained a reputation for lively and committed performances of close harmony vocal
music in relaxed, cabaret style settings. Directed by Graham Loveday, who only wanted
an excuse to hang out and drink wine with 12 attractive women, the group embraces
music from a broad range of genres from doo-wop to classical via Abba and Estonian
folk song.

Graham Loveday enjoys setting up community musical
ventures, particularly if there is an opportunity to organise other people. Accordingly,
he accepts some responsibility for Ashton Keynes Village Choir, Ashton Keynes Music
Festival, the AK47s (local singing group for blokes), as well as the Siren Sisters.
He belonged to the school choir, brass band, orchestra and a barbershop quartet
when young(er) and has subsequently enjoyed amateur music-making in different forms
over many years, particularly choral groups of various sizes. He is married with
two young sons and lives in....Ashton Keynes.
Heather Milnes has been the accompanist for the Siren
Sisters since it was formed in 2007. She takes an active part in local music making
and during the 20 years she has lived in Ashton Keynes has played in numerous concerts
with many local groups including the Ashton Keynes Village Choir (of which she is
now Musical Director), the Ashton Keynes Orchestra, the Big Brunch Band and the
Spangles. She runs a busy teaching practice giving lessons in piano and wind instruments,
both at home and in local schools.
